Adichie Double-Header in NYC

Thursday and Friday, there were be two great events featuring Chimamanda Adichie in New York City.

  • Thursday, June 17, 6:30 pm. Tenement Talk. Ms Adichie will read from her new short story collection, The Thing Around Your Neck. Then, she and I will conduct a Q&A, about which I am very psyched.
  • Friday, June 18, 6:00 pm. Chapters, The Girls Write Now Reading Series. This is the culminating event of the year. Ms. Adichie will read and then we will hear from our amazing teen writers.

      I love this talk. So glad I’m moving back to NY so that I’ll have a chance to attend these awesome events. You’re such a fabulous interviewer you should have a podcast or video series. Enjoy!

      Thanks for letting me know about this event. It was great to hear Chimamanda and to meet you again. (I have my doubts about the closed-caption system, though, which turned “objectionable” into “ab Jacksonville.”)
