When I started this blog, I swore up and down that this would not be a space used to work out my various obsession and fixations. But this larngytis thing is really getting me down. I was up all night, and am still up this morning. Finally, after a middle-of-the-night cyber chat with Cydney Rax, I decided to get proactive.
The internet boasts a host of websites to help cure minor illnesses. The hands-down best is Doctor Yourself! I am all over the remedies endorsed on that site.
So far, I have swallowed an ounce of vinegar-- which I got from good buddy Richard Powers. I went to his house in a panic, seeking vitamin C and slippery elm bark. (He's the type to have such items lying around.) He actually had three varieties of vingegar from which I chose raspberry.
"Now," he said. "You need something to measure out an ounce and a half."
"Shot glass," I said.
"Hmm," said my brilliant buddy. "I don't think I have one of those."
At this point, his beautiful and capable wife, Jane, produced a lovely porcelain vessel. It wasn't a shot glass, but it was just about the right size.
Mr.Powers surprised me by chanting "Chug! Chug! Chug!"
I have never been able to resist peer pressure. I slammed the shot of vinegar and I think I sound much better.
Now, I am getting busy with the vitamin C. 500 mgs every fifteen minutes!
more to come...

T.,
I'm sorry to hear about your throat. Just allow it to rest. It's likely just stress and it will return stronger than before.
I have a question for you. Since I'm reading your "The Untelling" next week I'm planning to feature it on my blog. Good idea? Bad idea? Don't care either way? Let me know?
