I know that I promised to write more about my feelings about The Atlanta Child Murders case being reopened. Since then, I have promised to write a piece for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, so I have been collecting and organizing my thoughts for that piece. I will post it here when I am done. I promise.

I was blown away by Leaving Atlanta. It really touched me partly because I am a native Atlantan but also becuse it is a well written highly entertaining book. I have recommended it to anybody that would listen. I read it about six weeks ago and had conversations with friends and family about the MMC cases. I have my own opinion about Mr Williams guilt but I do beleive that there was some cover-up of information. I think officials found the people who committed the crimes and either killed them during an arrest or locked them up on other charges. I think that because of the group or people involved it was decided that the city and country couldn't handle the real truth. Then along comes Mr. Williams to give them exactly what was needed. I look forward to seeing what new information comes out. I also look forward to reading Ms Jones' comments in the AJC.

Hi Reginald, First let me thank you for your kind remarks about Leaving Atlanta. When I set out to write that novel, I wanted to make a record of what happened to those of us who were children at that time. I love knowing that it reached you and all the people who are from here are the people I really was thinking of when I wrote Leaving Atlanta.
As for next week's article, I've just finished it! I would love to hear what you think about it.

Just read your article in the AJC and thought you got to the heart of the matter in limited space. You seem to speak for many of us that have something to say but don't have an outlet to be heard. I enjoyed it very much. You have a gift. Keep up the good work!

"Now, my dear creature, don't be melodramatic, I beg of you," cried her brother, imploringly. "I wished to come, I pined to embrace you, and I give you my word, I don't blame you for the stupidity of this confounded place."
