This will be my last entry on laryngitis, because I am CURED! All the credit goes to my friend and colleauge, Zohreh, who gave the recipe for a traditional Iranian cure. Here's how you make it:

In a small saucepan, combine:

3 c water
12 cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground tumeric (VERY important!)
a shake of cinnamon
a pinch of red pepper (flakes)
3 quarter-sized medalions of ginger-root
juice of one small lemon

Bring to a rapid boil and then simmer, uncovered, on a low heat for at least five minutes. (Do not simmer more than ten minutes or all your tea will evaporate!)

While it is simmering, put about two tablespoons of honey in the bottom of your favorite mug.

When simmering is complete, strain tea into prepared mug, stir and drink.

This receipe makes two doses.

I found your Mircale Throat Tea and you wrote that this was your last entry on laryngitis, because you were cured. Did that come from this Tea? I have upper respitory problems all the time. I had Whooping Cough as a baby and I am told that is the reason for my problems. So, what cured you? This tea? I will look for your response. Thanks, Lonnie Pat
