Everyone, I am posting again. Please make a donation. Think of families like this one in Biloxi:

"The house just split in half. We got up the roof and the water came and just opened up, divided," still visibly shaken Mr Jackson told America's ABC television.

"My wife, I can't find her body, she gone."

"I held her hand tight as I could and she told me 'you can't hold me'. She said, 'take care of the kids and the grandkids'," Mr Jackson said.

IF THIS TRADGEDY DOES NOT MAKE US THANKFUL AND APPRECIATIVE OF THE GOOD GIFTS OF GOD, I AM NOT SURE WHAT WILL. AS WE SIT IN OUR HOMES AND THINK ABOUT ALL WE ARE WITHOUT, AS WE HEAD TO OUR JOBS COMPLAINING ABOUT EVEN HAVING TO GO, AS WE LOOK TO THOSE WHO WE THINK HAVE IT "GOING ON" AND WISH WE HAD WHAT THEY HAVE....IN THE WORDS OF THE PSALMIST "HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW AND I KNOW HE WATCHES ME"

I've been stuck on broke for the last few weeks after an illness, but I gave what I could to the Red Cross, knowing that others need my small amount more than I do.

This whole thing is so tragic and unbelievable. Everytime I look at the carnage, I can't conceive of the fact that this is America.

I saw that exact account from the man you describe. I found myself wishing someone would give him a hug. How devastating to want so badly to hold onto his wife while he was forced to watch her literally slip through his fingers. And her dying wish for the care of her children. This is the drama of fiction -- only this time it is too real. So sad, so very sad.
