The Writing Life
Hi! You all might remember me talking about the Pen/Faulkner gala. This is a fundraiser for the Pen/Faulkner foundation in Washington, DC. We're talking black tie here. The writers will each read a very short story- three minutes or less-- on the theme of Lost and Found.
I've written my story. I've bought my dress, click here to see it. Shoes have been purchased and broken in. My hair is the final frontier!
Don't even get me started on the challenges of natural hair. It's so hard to find a stylist; I usually end up doing it myself. I think I do a pretty good job, but sometimes you want to get done up by a professional. Oh well. No worries. It is a good problem to have.
