If you are reading this blog, give yourself a big hug. You've survived the holidays. Shall we make a toast? There are 364 days before we have to do it again.
I didn't receive any books this Christmas? Did you? But on the good side, I didn't end up hiding under my bed either. I'll be up and blogging again in a couple of days. I am going to the MLA conference in DC. Lit Nerd Heaven.

My husband put a hardback copy of Langston Hughes' "Thank you M'am" in my stocking and a shitake mushroom log under our tree. Food for the body and soul!

Well I treated myself to ordering HARDBACK copies of Tannarive Due's MY SOUL TO KEEP and Sheree R. Thomas' (editor) DARK MATTER: READING THE BONES from Amazon. But I should also add that I bought an out-of-print copy of a wonderful childen's book, A SPOON FOR EVERY BITE/CADA BOCADO CON NUEVA CUCHARA by Joe Hayes. That last purchase was actually a early birthday gift to myself. *-) I had been looking for this and the above-mentioned hardback copies of these titles for YEARS and oddly enough they all appeared at once. I had to grab 'em! I tell ya...2005 was a great year for me to find my "hard-to-find" favorites! Hmmmm....maybe I should start playing the Lotto in 2006.
