  • "The Color Purple on Broadway" is holding auditions for NYC, AL, and GA!

  • SF documentarian Amy Wilson's long-awaited film about climate change, Five Reasons Why, is almost here. Watch the trailer.

  • The NYT lists its Notable Books of the year. Of course to qualify, the books had to be reviewed by The New York Times. I offer you the list without comment. (Well, I would comment but I hate being so obvious all the time.)

  • Finally, this post is brought to you by Peapod. They are about an hour and a half late with my groceries. I am writing this post as I am trying to stay calm and civil. Word for the day: incompetent
