Tayari's Blog: Linky-Dink

I'm blogging from an internet kiosk in the Dallas airport. The trip to the Bay Area was golden, but exhausting.

  • Check out Vendela Vida's new book, Let the Northern Lights Erase Your Name. I haven't read it yet, but it's getting beautiful reviews and she's a beautiful person, so...

  • Chris Abani's novel, The Virgin of Flames, has just been released. (I know he has a new book out every twenty minutes. Some people just got it like that.) I ran into him in SF. (No pics, sorry) I can promise you that it is a story like nothing else you have seen. The man is an original.

  • How's The Artist's Way coming? I did my morning pages even though I was on the road. Shelley's doing hers too!

  • And here's a terrific resource from The Place for Writers at Mills College: all kinds of updates and announcements for writers. One is for prose, and one is for poetry!

Okay, they are AT LONG LAST, boarding my plane!

Well, I'm still hooked on the morning pages -- do them every day without fail. But this week -- "Reading deprivation" is going to be super hard.
