If I can just make it through this week, I am going to spend next Tuesday through Thursday curled up with a few books that aren't the sort of thing I read for my classes. Anybody got any suggestions? I have already read all of Angela Henry's "Kendra" mysteries. I've got a Harlan Carben here. (Becca Martin, auction winner, I have your manuscript right next to my pillow!) Send me the titles of your best chill-out faves.

Hard to imagine what you might not have read. One to archive for future reference is Murakami Haruki, I find his books great for chilling out. Japanese culture fascinates me to start with and then Murakami writes in a way that is very easy to get caught up in, which I find very relaxing

If you haven't already read Chosen People by Karen Grigsby Bates, I recommend it for a fun, relaxing read. In my opinion, it's a giant step up from the first mystery in the series, Plain Brown Wrapper. Even my very picky book club members loved it.
